Whiplash
+ 
- Fantastic actors and sometimes very thick atmosphere
- Agree with Oscar for J.K.Simmons as his performance was very civil and demonic at the same time
- The tempo of the story is very high, supported by great music, which created some kind of a Jazz ballet with 2 dancers.

- Generally overdone, the biggest problem is in conceptual and dramatic structure. Chazelle put to much effort to make Climax diabolic (car accident and following concert) but it did not fit into the previous (and following) sequences based on very internal and intellectual passion for being exceptional.

Foxcatcher
If I would chose 1 movie, to which I was most looking forward to last Year, it would be that one. Unfortunatelly director Bennett Miller did not follow the standard of his great previous work Moneyball and Capote (Both also very well written deep stories based on true events)

- Very positively surprising performance by Tatum, supported by traditionally high standard by Ruffalo
- Cinematography
- Story & Tension between 3 main characters

- Grotesque (non)acting by Steve Carrel
- Tendency to make movie heavier and more static made it boring and far too long.  There are long shots of the camera, which do not make the atmosphere any heavier, only help the movie in losing the speed
-  The reasoning behind the behavior of main characters is unclear (which is of course not always bad), but it loses the drive of his previous movies, because he simply stopped to get deeper and just showed the surface and thought that the surface itself will be freezing enough.
